SC3. Laser, Spectroscopy and Imaging for Functionalised Photonic Devices
at 41st PIERS Rome 2019 in Italy, which will take place on 17-20 June 2019 in Rome, Italy

The special session will cover technological advances in laser, spectroscopy and imaging tools and techniques opened wide opportunities for smart production and characterization of novel materials and functionalized photonic devices. This session welcomes abstracts which highlight the advancements in their use and combination for the manufacturing and development of photonic microdevices and light-sources (laser, LEDs, OLEDs, etc.) and advanced optical and radiation sensors, including application for innovative material investigation and advanced diagnostics, covering infrared, optical and X-ray spectral interval.

The PIERS Symposium is one of the world's leading conferences in the field of electromagnetic and photonic research. Topics include electromagnetic theory, photonics, quantum optics, plasmonics, metamaterials, antennas, microwave technologies, acoustics, computational electromagnetics, electromagnetic compatibility, scattering, remote sensing, radars, radiometry, imaging, radiative transfer, material effects, inverse problems and all other modern developments in electromagnetics and photonics.
Latest PIERS Symposia, held in Stockholm, Guangzhou, Prague, Shanghai, St. Petersburg, Singapore and recently in Toyama, involved over 1000 registered participants. PIERS-2019 in Rome is expected to be just as successful if not even better.

The abstracts will have to be submitted online at https://www.piers.org/piers2019Rome/submit/submit_new.php and choose "SC3: Laser, Spectroscopy and Imaging for Functionalised Photonic Devices”
